Wow, Amy! That's a lot of reading! Indeed, "Heinz Chapel" was my first poem written since I was 17. Haz encouraged me to start writing poems, and that was the first one. The rest are the results of his and my writing every Sunday, and then sharing our work. They don't really follow any progression of talent, and I think they tend to be all over the place.
Thanks SO much for all your lovely and especially thoughtful comments. I hope the poems were a little inspiring, too! A lot of them have been taken down, per your very valuable advice to remove the ones that I have submitted for journals or competitions. I think "Catullus" is still my favorite, and one of the earliest ones. I've updated it since then.

Hey, alg! I'll see if they have fixed MY Gather glitch, in which I couldn't ping, but only send messages... sometimes. I'm okay, now that the crunch at work is over (for now). I'm looking forward to getting back to writing, and finishing reading your thesis! Amy, I have to tell you, not only am I completely impressed with the depth and quality of your writing (wonderfully convincing argumentation!), but the POETRY!
